Prep
The Prep program at Mornington Park caters for the variety of children’s academic, physical, social, emotional and cultural needs.
We focus on the development of the whole child in the classroom, and also in the community beyond the classroom, where children can learn.
We take pride in our work and in our relationships with each other and the whole school.
We complete learning activities that involve English, maths, science, the Arts, ICT and physical, social and personal learning that incorporates communication and thinking skills that will help the child to develop into a confident, contributing member of their community.
Grade 3/4
During 2007 our class has worked very hard in all areas, especially on our literacy skills. Using our vivid imaginations we have created many wonderful Narratives and with our skills we have also produced some fantastic Recount and Procedural writing. We have a lot of fun when we are reading our class novels, especially Roald Dahl stories.
As a class we have covered the topics All About Me, Being Healthy and Celebrations. We really enjoyed learning about how to keep ourselves healthy and are discovering many interesting facts about the different occasion’s people celebrate, around the world.
We are always busy with our Writing and Reading group tasks in the morning, Maths and Class Novel reading after recess and our specialist subjects in the afternoon. In 3/4B we always try and work hard to achieve our very best.
